third birthday at glo London

glo London turns three! Restaurant group glo celebrates their third Birthday this month at their Reading site. The delicious multi cuisine restaurant offers fab food and equally fab drinks.

Their cocktail bar serves up everything needed for a perfect and fun time birthday bash - they also have a great 'loft bar' which you can hire out exclusively. If it is just drinks your after you can choose from their extensive cocktail list including their very own signature cocktails and munch on some of the yummy dim sum, or for something a little more substantial why not share a pizza at the bar?

Either way you will find all that is needed for a great night out. Whether its their Birthday your celebrating or just because - you cant go far wrong with popping by glo.

fab Italian lunch in Chelsea

Chelsea, not somewhere I often vernture but on a lovely sunny summers afternoon this week I popped over on recommendation and had lunch in the new restaurant from Frankie Dettori, Cavallino meaning 'riding' in Italian, a very modern fresh and airy restaurant with a downstairs bar area and private dinning space, I liked the look and feel - luckily the food did not s.

I am not sure entirely how recently it opened but sadly we were the only diner in the the whole place for the whole lunch period. This can only be because its new and not many know about it. I say this because the food was spot on! The prices very competitive, the wine list competent and the service attentive.

I would go back for sure. And from what I have heard of the launch party, you will be sure to spot a celeb or two.

On top of all that a good friend of mine, John Stodart has his work on the wall all of which is for sale.

We both had the same, ordering form the lunch set menu, we had the bean salad with sun dried cherry tomatoes and the beef on rocket.

The beef was perfect!!

Hush and ice tea

Hush has just introduced iced tea to their already exceptional menu, serving new, refreshing blends of flavoured ice tea.

It kicked off on the 7th June and last all through the Summer, available throughout the Brasserie and in the fab courtyard. (note another lovely outdoor spot)

Flavours include: Jasmine and Strawberry, Chamomile and Peach, Summer Rose and Ginger and Lemon. Complementing the iced teas will be an assortment of sorbets including, peach, strawberry and lemon.

Providing an exciting alternative summer treat to the conventional Pimms, Hush will offer ‘spiked’ iced teas with a dash of traditionally British Hendricks’s gin. A perfect afternoon retreat, the Hush courtyard will be a buzzing cocktail sipping social scene.

Also new to the courtyard is Hush’s traditional ice-cream bicycle which will serve a delicious assortment of home made ice creams. Guests can enjoy mouth-watering flavours including salted fudge and praline.

I just love it here and on a hot mad day in London's west end where better to hide and have a moment to cool down and claim down.

Hush, No. 8 Lancashire Court, Brook Street, London W1S 1EY
